As a Youth Worker you will lead groups with LGBTQ youth and their allies, creating a safe environment, enhancing social skills of participants and providing access to a system of support. You will provide a welcoming environment, facilitate weekly social/support groups, recruit youth to the support group, and facilitate group activities to build skills that create companionship and build relationships as well as develop a support network and preparation for community engagement. You will provide one on one support to youth, provide individual advocacy support to participating youth. You will also collect attendance data and satisfaction surveys and other required documentation. Job Requirements: Working knowledge or willingness to build knowledge of positive youth development, harm reduction and trauma informed care. Ability to pass a driver's license check desired.
