About Youth Peer Support Specialist

　　Credentials needed: have lived experience, must be at least eighteen (18) years of age but no older than thirty-five (35); receiving or have received at least one (1) child serving agency or a state funded service that is related to youth’s emotional, social, behavioral, or substance use disability.Special skills/knowledge required: high school diploma or equivalent, KFLA training, demonstrate leadership and advocacy in the field of behavioral health.Primary Functions:Responsible for specific tasks as assigned.Participate in agency committee and professional organizations as assigned.Participate in skill enhancement activities both as participant and provider as necessary.Within area of responsibility, ensure compliance with state licensure and accrediting agency requirements.Other duties as assigned.
