Head of global IB&S business - HMI
Context of the position
Within ASML the HMI business unit is responsible for the full product portfolio of e-beam Inspection and Metrology tools, including P&L responsibility. The HMI business is supported by a number of business functions, such as Development & Engineering, Sales, Operations and Sourcing.
The profit & loss (P&L) responsibility within BU HMI is divided between Product Management and Installed Base & Services. Within the IB&S group, the head of global IB&S business is continuously challenged to maintain the right balance between technical capabilities, time to market and business targets, both for ASML and the customers. In this context, you play a significant role in managing HMI Service Business: from product portfolio development towards service sales and service execution including full P&L responsibility.
Your mission is to drive the organization to execute service products per customer commitments at a healthy profit margin. You cooperate with applicable ASML Sectors in order to secure and extend ASML's market position and create customer value.
ASML operates in a large matrix organization. This position is a high impact role with visibility towards key customers as well as ASML's Senior Management.
Main Responsibilities
Responsible for the HMI Service Products (both SBI and MBI products) and the drive execution of the HMI Service business plan.Drive the organization to execute service products per customer commitments at a healthy profit margin; • Drive for service deliverables from the BL HMI program in the United States, location San Jose
• Maximize adoption of the service products, manage the growing installed base service revenues
• Optimize the service delivery costs
• Manage x-sector (virtual) people, knowledge and plan for coming (business) cycles.
• Create sense of urgency when needed & create transparency on performance & gaps.
Drive HMI Product Services operational improvements, including reduction of install costs, better relocation positioning, long term deal making and improved margins in service dealsDrive the development and implementation of: End of Life strategy, Productivity roadmap, Tool matching, automate tool monitoring in the installed base in close cooperation with the Customer Support organization.Work with the account teams world-wide, address gaps between product offering and customer need and thus optimize customer satisfaction and business performance.Interact regularly with customers on the value of the whole product. Solicit continuously for improvements in products and related extensions and additions.Develop and implement worldwide (communication) strategy, product portfolio and pricing and prepare marketing and sales support.Contribute to the definition of a product (line) by the preparation of all aspects of the specific product.Contribute to the change process from Cost Based Service to Value Based Service.Cooperate with the marketing manager to develop parameters to measure successful performances in marketing, products and sales by the collection of relevant data.
Education
Minimum MSc in an Engineering or Physical Science
Experience
10+ years of work experience at academic levelExperience working in leading edge/high-tech manufacturing environmentExperience with matrix organizations and cross sector projectsPreferable experience in developing (value-based) service strategy in a semiconductor environmentPreferable experience in operations (supply chain / purchasing / manufacturing / installation) departments
