Additionally, this position oversees the preparation and distribution of all periodic financial statements for both internal and external use while ensuring the reports and filings comply with the Company's regulations, professional standards and SEC and GAAP reporting requirements. Further, the Director of SEC Reporting and Technical Accounting is responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with the Company's external auditors.What you will be doing:Performs technical accounting research (e.g. revenue recognition, business combinations, lease accounting, stock compensation, non-GAAP, etc.)Oversees the preparation of all internal and external financial reporting, ensuring compliance with GAAPManages the audit process by coordinating with external auditors and preparing required documentationOversees the development and implementation of internal controls to ensure compliance with SOX 404 requirementsDevelops, leads, manages and motivates staffKeeps up-to-date with new accounting and reporting standards and estimates the impact of new accounting standards or changes in accounting principles on the Company's financial statementsConsults with business management on accounting mattersPlays a key role in the monthly and quarterly close processesLeads third party valuations for business combinations and assists with accounting for business combinationsParticipates in special projects to ensure financial accounting, reporting and company-wide operational issues are properly identified and addressedLeads annual goodwill impairment assessmentWorks closely with all financial and operational staff to ensure effective communicationLiaises with the Company's Tax departmentPerforms ad hoc analysis as neededWhat you will have:Bachelor's degree in accounting10+ years of experience with technical accounting and financial reportingCPA preferredThorough understanding of GAAPStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExperience with ERP general ledger systemsExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExcellent organization skills with strong attention to detailStrong management skills, including team building, coaching and mentoring skillsWhat you will have:A career at Worldpay is more than just a job.
