  Northrop Grumman Mission Systems Sector is seeking a Word Class Operations Cost Pillar Lead/Sr. Principal Project Management to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals based in Linthicum, Maryland. In this role, the candidate will support the manufacturing operations team on the journey to a world class organization. The pillar lead is responsible for implementation of technical improvement tools and processes necessary to eliminate waste and loss from the organization operations.

  Roles and Responsibilities:Operates successfully in a team atmosphereinterfacing with both internal and external stakeholders and customersEngages in production floor activitiesFacilitates Problem Solving process including data gathering, analysis, and presentationSolves problems by relentlessly pursuing root cause and driving for effective solutionsUses Kaizen and LEAN concepts as aides to problem resolutionValidates projects cost savings calculationsMaintains and continuously develops technical knowledge in processes and products, relevant technologies, and problem solving methodologyAssists with the training of new personnel and participates in the design of training materialsHas a working knowledge of MS Office Applications Prioritizes projects that drive improvement activities based on pillar specific data. Basic Qualifications:Bachelor's Degree and 10 Years of relevant work experience; 8 Years with Masters (an additional 4 years of relevant work experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree)Cost Analysis experienceExperience in Root Cause Corrective Action / Problem SolvingExperience in data analysis, and data management.Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance. US Citizenship required.Possess excellent communication skillsExperience with cross-functional leadershipPreferred Qualifications:Project management degreeCertifications in lean or continuous improvementPMI certificationExperience in program planning and scheduling.Computer Skills: SAP, Tableau, SharePoint, PowerBiWorld Class Manufacturing experience is a plusSalary Range: $102,200 - $153,200

  The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

  Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
