About the Role
We are hiring a hybrid Workplace Project Associate to assist with the programming, design, and implementation of workplace solutions for building renovations, re-stacks, and new construction. Solutions include space planning, furniture layouts, and move coordination. As the Workplace Project Associate, you will report to the Director, Global Workplace Design & Project Delivery and work directly with other members of the Workplace Design Team, the rest of the Global Real Estate & Facilities department, Global Security, Technology, and the People (HR) team. You will effectively communicate and interact with senior management, business unit employees (end users), landlord representatives, and external vendors to deliver each design project on time and on budget. You will work on-site in our NYC office at least three days each week.
You Will
Develop, prioritize, and execute project plans, including their budgets and schedules, through collaboration with the Director of Workplace Design & Project Delivery as well as the Workplace Project Manager.
Prepare visualization tools for customer meetings.
Propose effective design solutions to meet project goals.
Review and recommend improvements to existing workplace standards.
Prepare internally, or through external vendors, design layouts and sketches according to company design standards.
Address and resolve design and construction related concerns in a timely manner.
Attend project meetings with Architects, Engineers, and Construction Teams.
Coordinate and execute workplace rearrangement projects with vendor partners.
Support vendor onboarding and invoice processing.
You Have
The willingness to work in our NYC office at least 3 days every week.
The willingness and flexibility to work on-site some nights or weekends as dictated by project needs.
At least 3 years of experience supporting and/or managing workplace projects, corporate interiors projects, and/or tenant fit-out projects.
Proficiency with AutoCAD.
Working knowledge of office furniture systems, furniture specifications, and interior finishes.
Strong understanding of construction best practices.
Knowledge of building codes and accessibility requirements for planning activities and compliance.
Experience working with design consultants and external vendors.
Strong technical skills using Google Suite products and Adobe Acrobat Pro.
Experience managing multiple tasks in a time-sensitive manner.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, paired with a customer-service mentality.
The ability to work as part of a team and individually.
A Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Interior Design or Architecture is preferred, but not required.
