Morgan, Lewis & Bockius LLP, one of the world's leading global law firms with offices in strategic hubs of commerce, law, and government across North America, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, is seeking to hire a Workday Analyst, reporting to the HR Systems and Analytics Manager.
The Workday Analyst will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing Workday for Morgan Lewis. As an established Workday customer, we are continuously enhancing existing functionality, adding new modules, and assisting our end users in order for the Firm to maximize Workday's capabilities. Our current Workday modules include HCM, Recruiting, Talent & Performance, Advanced Compensation, Time Tracking, and Absence. This position will play a lead role in the implementation and support of additional modules and enhancements to current modules. This position will work in a highly collaborative environment with internal teams to gather and validate business requirements and recommend solutions.
This position can reside in our Philadelphia, Chicago, New York, or Washington DC offices and offers a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule.
Responsibilities
Participates in the ongoing requirements gathering, design, test, deployment, and maintenance of Workday configuration for new functionality or enhancements.Troubleshoots and resolves production support issues and resolves defects timely and with exceptional customer service.Effectively collaborates with teams such as HR, Benefits, Payroll, IT, Recruiting, Finance, and others to provide support for requests such as enhancements, defects, and new functionality.Consults with Firm stakeholders to understand business processes, goals, and enhancement opportunities to provide technology solutions.Provides support for Workday, including researching, identifying, and resolving complex Workday issues, unexpected results, and process flaws.Serves as lead for our Talent and Performance module.Recommends best practices to ensure optimal use of Workday based on knowledge of Firm processes and technology.Continuously increases technical and industry trend knowledge by participating in Workday Community and other forums, including on-line discussions, brainstorms, voting, training, webinars etc.Performs data uploads into Workday utilizing Enterprise Interface Builders (EIBs).Participates in Workday's bi-annual releases.
System Analysis/Management
Assists the HR Centers of Excellence and other HR teams with the process flows, data analysis, configuration and EIB loads associated with annual and off cycle events such as performance evaluations, merit increases, bonus payments, and job structure enhancements.Prepares test plans and scripts; executes test scripts; oversees and supports user acceptance testing.Develops user procedures, guidelines, and documentations.Assists with software implementation and upgrades as necessary.
System Support
Provides level 2 support for all Workday modules (including, but not limited to, researching, identifying, and resolving complex Workday issues, unexpected results, and process flaws.Actively participates in user acceptance testing and documentation.Assists end-users and internal teams on Workday related issues.
Education and Experience
Minimum 2 years of directly related HRIS and Workday experience in a professional services industry.Workday implementation and configuration experience in at least 1 Workday functional area specifically HCM, Talent and Performance, Advanced Compensation, Integrations, Reporting or Time and Absence modules is preferred.This position requires excellent verbal and written communication skills (including grammar and punctuation), as well as strong organizational skills and attention to detail.The successful candidate will possess effective problem solving and time management skills, ability to multitask, independent decision-making, discretion, and judgment.Self-motivated with a focus on driving results and strong sense of accountability.Proven record of setting delivery commitments and meeting expectations.Ability to critically think and have an analytical mindset with a strong ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve system issues.Ability to manage multiple, high priority tasks and adjust to shifting priorities, while meeting deadlines.Must be self-motivated and able to work independently as well as on a team.Demonstrated ability to quickly adapt and learn new systems and processes through instruction, guided training, and self-training.

For positions in New York, the salary range for this job posting is
$71,815.00 - $114,904.00.
The base salary or hourly wage range for this position will be determined during the interview process and will vary based on multiple factors, including but not limited to prior experience, relevant expertise, current business needs, and market factors. The final salary or hourly wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. Additionally, salary or hourly wages may be only part of the total compensation package. The total compensation package for this position may also include a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits (including 401(k) eligibility and various paid time off benefits, such as vacation, sick time, and parental leave), dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, the employee will be in an "at-will position" and the firm reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, firm or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
