10Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is currently hiring for a broad range of experience levels, including Mid-Level and Senior Wire Installation Design Engineers to support the KC-46A program located in Everett, WA.
The KC-46A Tanker is the most advanced aerial refueling aircraft in the world and we need an experienced engineer with strong electrical background to lead the Electrical Team.The successful candidate will lead a team of equipment installation engineers supporting both production and development activities.
Position Responsibilities:
Develops and maintains electrical product detail, assembly and
installation designs (e.g., equipment racks, power panels, cable routing and geometry,
antennas).
Must possess good organizational, interpersonal, and problem-solving skillsLeads the team to analyze results and performs design reviews.
Provides engineering design disposition on discrepancies (e.g., rejection tags, production
action requests, shop revision requests
Analyzes functional and physical input to assure development of complete integrated design.
Develops basic statements of work.
Participates in technical review of supplier capabilities to facilitate source selection.
This position allows telecommuting. The selected candidate will be required to perform some work onsite at one of the listed location options.
This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post-Start is required.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
Experience with wire design and wire installation
3+ years of related work experience
Demonstrate project management and change management experience.
Experience with CATIA V5/ENOVIA, BOGART, WIRS and CMPro
Demonstrated capability to lead others.
Preferred Qualifications:
5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
EWIS knowledge, provide FAA Certification support and work closely with the Engineering Unit Members (E-UM) to ensure products follow FAA Regulations.
Typical Education:
Mid-Level
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years'
related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
Senior Level
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range Senior Level: $104,550 - 141,450
Summary pay range Lead Level: $128,350 - 173,650
