Web Manager
The Web Manager will be primarily responsible for day-to-day content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com (HIG.com). Working closely with other team members, the Web Manager will also project manage larger scale projects, particularly those that require coordination between internal clients, the editorial team, IT team, and SEO team.
Our ideal candidate is a highly organized, collaborative team player. The Web Manager must be able to manage multiple projects and deadlines, build relationships with contacts across the marketing team and other organizations, and effectively drive projects forward reporting on progress along the way.
Responsibilities
• Manage hands-on content deployment and maintenance on thehartford.com and other related company websites
• Input and manage text, images and other content assets, using The Hartford’s Content Management System (CMS)
• Oversee QA testing of content on the sites
• Monitor site and provide support for assorted web standards, such as content presentation, writing style, metadata, spelling and accessibility
• Maintain quality standards and brand standards for all website content
• Participate in the development and implementation of process improvements to support clients including analyzing and documenting requirements, processes, procedures and problems to improve existing processes
• Meet with clients and other HIG.com team members to understand business objectives, requirements for each project and help develop plans to accomplish marketing goals
• Develop comprehensive project plans to be shared with clients as well as other team member
• Report project status, sending detailed meeting notes after key meetings/milestones and track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short- and long-term goals and to manage expectations
Qualifications
• 2+ years managing content on corporate level websites
• One to two years project management experience strongly preferred
• Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred
• Basic knowledge of HTML
• Experience using a robust Content Management System
• Experience managing a website, ideally corporate sites in the financial services industry
• Advanced time management and analytical skills with ability to manage a range of deadlines • Possess project leadership capabilities, initiative and is driven by results • Ability to build strong relationships with team members, internal stakeholders and vendors, and influence course of action in a highly matrixed environment
• Excellent client-facing communication skills including effective listening
• Solid copy-editing skills and attention to detail
Compensation
The listed annualized base pay range is primarily based on analysis of similar positions in the external market. Actual base pay could vary and may be above or below the listed range based on factors including but not limited to performance, proficiency and demonstration of competencies required for the role. The base pay is just one component of The Hartford’s total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term or annual bonuses, long-term incentives, and on-the-spot recognition. The annualized base pay range for this role is:
$81,280 - $121,920
