Responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:
Managing warehouse activities in a lime manufacturing facility including, but not limited to, the coordination of material movement to and from the production areas, management of ERP (SAP) inputs for inventory and the coordination of incoming and outgoing material
Receives incoming parts and shipments
Maintains inventory control of items received and charged out of the warehouse
Receives coal and incoming shipments
Manage inventory of consignment items
Receive parts, supplies, coal shipments and some customer supplied products
Verifies daily inventory stock balance
Assists in expediting outstanding purchase orders
Maintains warehouse to support maintenance and production to ensure minimal downtime
Maintains weekly inventory of fuel and lubricants
Manages the waste streams throughout the facility,
Coordinating scrap metal program
Keeps warehouse in a clean, neat and orderly manner
Conducts physical inventory of parts and supplies on an "as scheduled" basis
Maintains security of the warehouse and parts storage areas
Inputs Received Purchase Orders in ERP system (SAP)
Inventory counts and organization of parts supports both external and internal customers
All parts counting is kept up to date by physically counting each part when necessary to ensure accuracy
Assisting with other general plant duties
Other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED – Associates Degree is preferred
Minimum five (5) years of material handling/inventory/logistic management in a manufacturing environment
Hands on experience in having total ownership with all phases of warehouse operations (receiving, inventory management, etc.)
Ability to manage multiple tasks and set priorities appropriately and maintain an organized work environment
Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including, but not limited to, Excel, Word, PowerPoint. SAP experience a plus
Working knowledge of SAP is a plus
Mechanical aptitude to work with and identify mechanical components
Ability to work independently of direct management with both internal and external customers
Manufacturing knowledge/experience; experience in mining or construction industry preferred
Manage and communicate to various groups about the company position relating to safety/risk issues
Hands on experience in having total ownership with all phases of warehouse operations (receiving, inventory management, etc.)
Good computer skills (at intermediate level or better required) including Excel and database programs
Self-starter with ability to work independently
Must have proven experience with working with vendors and contractors
Ability to think quickly when issues arise and use good judgment to make & carry out decisions end in favorable results
