Essential Functions /Responsibilities:
Log in and run a safety checklist on a forklift at the start of each shift. Safely operate a forklift transporting components and finished goods pallets. Ensure dock lock is engaged before entering trailer prior to loading or unloading materials. Ensure carrier in door and carrier on pick list or Bill of Lading match prior to loading or unloading. Be able to pick and drop off components safely and stage them is designated areas using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) forklift mounted scanner gun with monitor. Ensure 100% accuracy of finished goods order loading. Maintain cleanliness of plant. Practice and maintain safe conditions throughout the shift. Report back to supervisor in what is deemed a timely manner when job duties are complete for the next assignment. Receive components into WMS with 100% accuracy. Ability to line return components accurately and according to company policy. Participates in all job related safety training and personally complies with all safety policies and procedures.
Knowledge/Computer Skills:
Basic computer functions, knowledge of WMS or other warehouse management system; ability to read, write and speak English; physical ability to handle pieces of freight that weigh at least 50 lbs.; ability to drive a forklift and any other type of material handling equipment; basic math skills; ability to work overtime when needed.
Education and Work Experience required: High School Diploma or equivalent GED required. Must be able to drive a forklift. Must be able to read and write in English. Basic computer skills and good math, written, verbal and organizational skills. Excellent hand –eye coordination required. Employee will be subjected to heat and cold. Must have good working knowledge of GMP’s, SOP’s, and JSA’s
