Shift schedule for our position is: 11:00am-7:30pm (or until the work is complete) Monday-Friday. Weekend hours may also be required due to business needs.
What Warehouse Operations contributes to Cardinal Health
Warehouse Operations is responsible for performing/controlling a combination of manual or automated tasks necessary for the receipt, storage, and shipment of product. This may include functions of receiving, picking, packing, shipping, staging, transporting, storage, delivery, etc. Also responsible for the efficient flow of products from the point of product receipt from vendors to the shipment of products (via prescribed service parameters) to a variety of internal and external customers.
Responsibilities in this role:
Directsand managesa team of 30-45warehouse associates to achieve timely distribution and receipt ofproductsand motivate employees to ensure that predetermined productivity and quality standards are achievedMonitors site productivity standards and hold associates accountable to daily, weekly, monthly metrics; provide timely feedback and initiate corrective action process when neededAdheresto budgetary guidelines, andworkto meet Distribution Center objectives and operational goals while maintaining standards pertaining to qualityand inventoryFacilitates continuous improvement projects and initiativesPerforms daily scheduling of the work force toensureproper staffing to select, replenish, restock, locate and ship merchandise in a productive andcost-efficientmannerCoordinates maintenance of equipment, guiding both preventive maintenance and coordinating all necessary repairsEngages inemployee development, which includes training, coaching,counseling,and performance appraisalsWorkingon the floorwhile balancing administrative dutiesCollaborates with cross functional teams at all levels within the organization, specifically within HR groups on a daily basisInterviews and makes hiring decisions for lead and associate level rolesMaintains general responsibility for disciplinary process in the area of counseling, oral and written warnings; ensurea productive work climate in the warehouse operationPrepares ad hoc reports, as necessaryusing Excel (or any other necessary programs)Maintains attendance/PTO records andensureschedulingisaccurateHolds staff accountable for conducting work in a safe manner while enforcing Cardinal Health compliance and regulations concerning OSHA, DEA, FDA, State and local authoritiesQualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred, or 5-8 years in an operations facility leading a team preferred3-5 years of operations supervisory experience preferredPrior experience with continuous improvement projects and initiativesStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong knowledge of Microsoft Office Excel ( Pivot Tables and spreadsheets )Experience working within ERP’s (SAP or Manhattan) preferredWhat is expected of you and others at this level:
