  Overview

  The VP Sales, Direct Marketing, reporting to SVP Partnerships and Core Verticals, is responsible for leading the Business-to-Business Sales effort. The VP will manage the sales team, providing strategic and tactical direction to the sales force and establish a company-wide focus on critical areas of activity including the identification and delivery of new sales opportunities. They will manage the performance of the sales team and hold accountability to the objectives set for each customer. The VP will also lead a fundamental shift in the interface between sales and other areas of the business, incorporating cultural change and process improvement across all areas. The VP will drive a strong sales function that delivers pipelines, forecasts, and visibility for the business as well as a strong commission plan for the sales team.

   Responsibilities

  Provide leadership, expertise and oversight of the Sales function which includes the ongoing development of customer relationships against clearly articulated performance objectivesPresent and implement a Direct Marketing strategy in line with regulatory requirements and internal policyProvide support to Sales team members and help drive performance to achieve monthly targetsManage and continuously develop Sales team in areas of opportunityTroubleshoot market and internal sales issues that may arise alongside SVP Partnerships & Core VerticalsStrategically partner with Marketing, Operations, Risk, Finance and Credit departmentsForecast Sales objectives and present to General Manager on regular basisMonitor sales pipeline and lead management trackingDeliver a step change in Sales performance and in particular the establishment of financial measures for every customer which connects directly to the reward of the sales and relationship teamEstablish the annual sales plan as part of company-wide annual budgeting. Provide the monthly executive team MIP (Monthly Information Pack) report and support the quarterly re-forecasting processWork directly with the sales team on opportunities, including the development of the responses to RFI/RFP processesCommunicate Sales plans, policies, and trends throughout the organization, including management groups and professional staffSubject matter expert for targeted/assigned verticalsTarget prospects against a business wide strategy; successfully bidding and on-boarding those prospects; having clearly articulated goals for every relationship, understanding performance against those goals and having effective action plans to deal with any deviationUse CRM/SFA for management of sales activities, pipelines, and forecastsRecruit, develop/mentor, and replace sales team members as required to achieve plan

  Qualifications

  Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or in an equivalent field of study, required10+ years of relevant sales and business development experience (required), specifically within the electronic payment processing industry, as well as B2B experience (preferred) Proven track record in generating new business and managing a growing Sales teamAbility to identify and work towards new business and revenue opportunitiesExperience coaching, training and inspiring a growing Sales teamSelf-motivated with strong organizational skillsUnderstanding of the payments industry, data analytics and market trends

  Knowledge of MS OfficeKnowledge of CRM (Salesforce)
