Broadridge is hiring a VP, Product Lead - Asset Servicing supporting Astrid, our next generation global asset servicing platform.
As a Product Lead for the North Americas region and deputy to General Manager supporting with key strategic initiatives that will increase organizational capability and efficiency, including change initiatives, associate engagement, communications. This role will report into the General Manager of Astrid with a functional reporting line into the Head of Product Management.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsible for growing and leading the team in the regionIdentify resource requirements in region to support all project and product initiatives planned in the current and future financial yearIdentify and hire resources in region with the required skill set and ensure effective on-boarding / training is given and project / product commitments can be metDevelop the skills of the team members continuously for product and industry knowledgePerform all appropriate team leader activities including objective setting, performance assessments and identifying training needsBuild and maintain relationships with clients (internal / external) in the regionDevelop and maintain relationships with all key and prospective clients so as to identify new business opportunities, understand client needs and resolve issuesLeverage the wider power of the organisation to drive the product forwards, working with finance, marketing, account management, sales and other internal stakeholders to align on and deliver the product goals and targets, providing appropriate constructive challenges, clear outcomes, and commitment to action.Co-ordinate with various business functions to provide management reports and presentation materials for regular governance meetingsWork alongside other key stakeholders to uphold brand identity and integrity.Participate in the creation and delivery of Client User Group Forums and Quarterly Product Newsletters in regionSupport internal initiatives to combine related products in Asset Servicing, Custody Operations, Investor Communications and Data Analytics to create an industry leading offeringBe an Industry (CA) expert for the US market and ideally globalConduct market research to understand the competitive landscape and how our product compares to other offeringsMaintain awareness of the industry (and competitive) landscape, trends, gaps, expansion opportunities, industry development etc.Identify opportunities both at a product and strategic level (eg utilities) and help to develop business cases for future expansion and future product developmentParticipate in industry forums in region or globally as appropriate to increase awareness of our product and our delivery expertiseBuild strong Product (ASTRID) expertiseGain a comprehensive understanding of how the product has been designed and built and all of the key core product componentsHelp shape content and drive the delivery of the product roadmap in all component areasDrive assessments of product strengths and weaknesses and make proposals internally and with our clients to deliver continuous improvements both at a product and wider strategic levelOversee client onboarding and live clients in region (and globally where needed)Provide support to all AMER based project aligned resources in helping them deliver successfully to our clients in region and globally where requiredSupport the Project Management, Account Management and Client Delivery Management teams in creating and maintaining an excellent relationship with key client stakeholder in region, for both live clients and clients on-boarding to the productParticipate in project governance meetings internally and externally (working groups, steering committees, strategy planning)Responsible for Business Development globally (internal and external)Work with the wider organisation such as Sales, Pre Sales, Account management and other business lines to identify new sales, revenue and product opportunities, as well as to inform strategic partner planning and related activitiesWork with the sales, pre sales and account management teams to drive new business (pipeline, pending and actual new business) and present the progress and successes of performance against the Business Development objectives, targets, as well as against competitive benchmarksWork with the partnerships team to identify and oversee partner relationships including helping to develop cold leads and pitching new ideas / opportunities to relevant stakeholdersIdentify and establish new areas of growth and additional revenue opportunities while maximizing the existing opportunities.Develop and implement strategic business plans to achieve revenue and profit goalsPrepare reports and tracking documents relative to meeting performance goals, forecasting business levelsSource and distribute relevant thought leadership and marketing material to customersOperationsParticipate in and assist with the strategic and tactical business planning and implementation requiring close communication and interaction with senior leaders to ensure stated goals and objectives are executed.Project management and initiative execution on all phases of assigned initiatives, working with appropriate business areas as necessary.Communication strategy and plan creation and execution (including coordination with associate engagement initiatives and Scope and Diversity goals).Act as a point of contact between senior management, employees and other stakeholders.Support the coordination and preparation for all meetings/events chaired and/or attended by the General Manager.Create written and graphical presentations for internal and external audiences.Assist in planning and preparing for: business area operating reviews with senior executive team, Broadridge group activities and other engagements.May perform other duties/responsibilities as needed or assigned.Preferred Skills / Qualifications10+ years of experience as a Product Manager in the financial services or fintech industriesPractitioner level of understanding of product management framework and best practicesExperience in productizing concepts into profitable product offeringsDemonstrable knowledge of software development lifecycle and Agile methodologies with proven track record of delivering projects or gathering requirements in this contextStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsProven team leadership, project management, and group facilitation skillsDetail-oriented and possess excellent oral, written, and organizational skillsHas a strong can-do attitude and can build relationships with stakeholders both horizontally and vertically across the organizationThis is a fast-paced environment, which often requires the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritiesAvailable to travel as
