Key financial partner to the brand management teams; responsible for leading brand cluster (comprised of Clinique, Le Labo and Too Faced) strategic planning, budgeting, and monthly estimate processes. Ensure P&L accuracy from gross shipments, cost of goods, and operating expenses to NOP. Ensure strategic allocation of resources, including operating expenses, headcount, capital, and inventory.
Ability to lead and manage a team with different business cultures, collaborate with sales, education, applied marketing, retailers, demand planning and supply chain amongst the brands is critical. Ability to work in a matrix organization - brand and key account management, and to partner with Global and Corporate stakeholders.
This strategic financial planning and analysis team will ensure strategy is implemented, executed with clear action plan, timeline and owners as well as will be supported by a NA Controlling team aligned by functional expertise and by NA and Global FP&A COEs e.g. NA Regional Channel COE, Global Pricing team etc.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage the overall NA region (US/PR and Canada) brand P&L ensuring strategic allocation of resources per each brand. Drive P&L improvements through insights to actions, understanding of what's working and what's not working, course correct to drive the brand to its full potential. Preparation of the long-range plan as part of the strategy cycle and own the annual brand budget deep dive to ensure it delivers on the regional and brand goals. Revenue Alignment: Working with sales planning and operations teams, align on seasonal retail sales plans by retailer and product category/sub-categories; prepare retail to gross shipments to net sales projections. Collaborate with demand planning teams to validate sales assumptions and prepare demand planning and financial forecast reconciliations - saleable and promotional. Review, document and monitor new product launch assumptions including cannibalization/halo assumptions and ensure launch activity will be NOP-accretive and/or a strategic imperative. Work with brand management teams to reduce returns - both returns to vendor and consumer returns, and support sku rationalization efforts to eliminate underperforming products, etc. Drive improvements in Gross Margin management including strategies around newness, category mix, returns impacts, pricing, mix of sets and gifts, and strategic discounting programs. Partner across brands teams to identify Risks and Opportunities. Evaluate category, hero's, franchise and new product launch plans, ensuring that each brand maximizes opportunities to invest against high growth opportunities with the optimal ROI. Monitor channel, account and door level contribution, highlighting areas for improvement. This includes multi-channel strategies including distribution decisions, channel investments and resource allocations. Responsible for the NA brands capital budget and investment analyses, in addition to ROI metrics. Provide strategic analysis to the brand management teams for near term and long-range scenario planning, including new business analysis, new product launches, promotional return on investment, advertising sufficiency, etc. Participate in any regional or corporate initiatives such as process and system improvements, marketing planning pilot, promotional inventory efforts, etc. Support change management and process enhancement initiatives, eliminating non-value-added investments and efforts. Responsible for region-wide initiatives across both the region and all the brands by piloting one brand to scale and roll out across the brands.

Undergraduate degree in finance/accounting. MBA and/or 3+ years of strategy consulting experience a plus. 12+ years of relevant work experience in finance, strategy, new business development. Outstanding quantitative and analytical skills required. Requires strong problem solving, interpersonal, presentation and communication skills. Keen ability to collaborate and communicate cross functionally with sales, marketing, demand planning and supply chain. Position requires strong leadership skills and previous experience in managing a team. Ability to drive consensus among functions. Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills necessary. Knowledge of industry practices and a passion for prestige consumer categories. Strong interest and understanding of external issues affecting the business - economic environment, retail environment, competition, etc.
U.S Corporate/Office Exempt Roles (Equity Eligible)
The anticipated base salary range for this position is $204,000 to $348,500. Exact salary depends on several
factors such as experience, skills, education, and budget. Salary range may vary based on
geographic location. In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for participation in a
highly competitive bonus program with possibility for overachievement based on performance
and company results as well as participation in the share incentive plan.
