The Compensation team at Humana is responsible for Humana's compensation strategy, plans, programs, and activities. This includes leading the planning, design, implementation, communication, and delivery of compensation programs at all levels including executive, broad-based, and sales compensation. She/he will play a vital role in securing and engaging talent, creating an employee experience that attracts and retains top talent who deliver our mission. The VP of Enterprise Compensation will be responsible for building and evolving the current compensation sub functions to work synergistically with each other, the rest of the human resources functions and business verticals to deliver efficient and scalable systems and processes.
Responsible for providing strategic guidance and decision-making on compensation issues and policies impacting ~65k associates. Regularly interacts with business leaders to identify areas of need and opportunity.Directs the formation, revision, and administration of compensation programs (including market analysis and implementation of effective pay/reward systems). Directs all broad-based compensation and minimum wage compliance for non-exempt employees. Partners with the business to assess compensation strategies that help drive sales and reward profitability, while ensuring plan design is competitive and equitable.Partners with Finance, HR Business Partners, Talent Management, and other functional areas to develop annual broad based incentive targets and tracking, performance management processes, annual pay planning and other key areas of collaboration.Builds talent of direct reports with focus on growth to assume increased levels of responsibility in each functional department. Provides ongoing development to all levels of teams in Compensation methodologies.Prepares budget proposals and monitors departmental expenses to ensure that the department is within budget expectations and spending where it is most impactful.

Key Candidate Qualifications
A bachelor's degree is required, preferably within Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or related field of study.Preferred designations including Certified Compensation Professional (CCP) or Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR).10+ years in Human Resources with significant experience in compensation and/or related HR expertise.Sound knowledge of SOX requirements and other government regulations applicable to compensation compliance required.Highly collaborative mindset and excellent relationship-building skills, including the ability to engage many diverse stakeholders and SMEs and win their co-ownership in the outcome.Minimum of 7 years previous supervisory experience.Excellent analytical skills and ability to plan, forecast, and exercise sound judgment.Ability to lead others in a variety of settings.Strong written and verbal communication.Strong leadership and team collaboration skills.
In addition to the above, the following professional qualifications and personal attributes will be ideal:
MBA or advanced degree in Accounting/Finance, Business Administration or other related field of studyExperience in the healthcare and/or insurance.Demonstrated success in building and communicating narratives to target audiences; understanding best channel to reach the audience and insights on how to adapt strategies.Demonstrated ability in building and external engagement strategy that is audience driven and had measurable success or learning.Strong planning, program management, and organizational skills are essential, including the ability to prioritize and maximize limited resources to achieve goals.Demonstrated leadership of a team or function, particularly in a changing environment.Excellent oral and written communications skills, including the polish, poise, and executive presence that will ensure effective interaction with senior executive level audiences.Current or recent experience in a large, highly matrixed, fast-paced company (i.e., Fortune
