Summary About the position: This position is located at the 31st FSS Marketing office. This is a NAF (Non-Appropriated Fund) position assigned to the 31st Force Support Squadron at Aviano AB, Italy. Responsibilities Responsible for developing original designs, concepts or visual styles for publications, web pages, presentation materials, on-base advertisements, and other media. Executes designs and layouts using the Adobe Creative Suite with proficiency, with an emphasis on Adobe Illustrator, as well as PhotoShop and InDesign. Develops creative designs & layouts for the Grapevine magazine every month, according to the print schedule. Assists in distributing the Grapevine each month. Collaborates with web and social media marketing assistant in content creation and strategy planning for, and the maintenance of 31FSS website and FSS social media platforms. Works with activity managers and other stakeholders on the design of effective advertising vehicles and appropriate media mixes. Obtains information on upcoming events, special programs, and offers, in order to create effective promotional materials. Creates physical marketing pieces, to include posters, fliers, business cards, brochures, booklets, and more; operates equipment such as printers, laminators, mounters, folders, cutters, etc., safely and effectively. Must have the ability to read, write, and speak English. Specialized experience which demonstrates the ability to design and layout advertising copy and artwork is highly desired. Ability to arrange and compose material and maintain well-organized files is highly desired. College degree or specialized art or computer related training is highly desired. Ability to create physical marketing materials and utilize applicable equipment is desired. Experience which provides a general knowledge of marketing/advertising principles and practices is desired. Skill and experience in dealing with management, customers, and public is desired. Education Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
