We are currently seeking freelance support in a newly formed Video Creative, Europe (12 months rolling contract) opening, where you will play a crucial role in capturing the attention of Next Gen Sports Fans through captivating video content, specifically tailored for MLB Europe’s TikTok and Instagram Reels. While a broad awareness of baseball is advantageous, what we value most is the candidate's keen interest in video production, bringing fresh and exciting creative concepts to life, hoping on trends, and holding a genuine enthusiasm for exploring new formats and ideas that lean into cultural verticals such as music, fashion, food, gaming and other lifestyle and entertainment spaces. The ideal candidate should be ambitious with ideas and be able to bring a fun dimension to our content offering, infusing creativity into every project and contributing to the dynamic evolution of our brand presence in Europe.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Creative Development: Craft compelling creative concepts that align with our marketing objectives and brand identity. Bring a social-first perspective to existing content strands and formats by optimizing our output for TikTok and Reels.
Content Creation: Produce and edit captivating, attention-grabbing shortform video content, from concept to final publish-ready assets.
Filming: Depending on the content, you should be adept at filming on a phone, camera and other filming devices such as Go Pro, Insta360 etc.
Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams, as well as external partners (New Era, Champion, Lids, TNT Sport, BBC) and agencies, where in addition to the content you produce, you will have budget to go big on certain concepts with agency support.
Content Planning: Contribute to wider social editorial planning, idea generation, and content development, focusing on creating content that resonates with our target audience.
Innovation: Stay up to date with new and emerging trends and formats, educating the team on potential priorities and opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Proven experience in social media content creation and video production, with a focus on social first video. Strong knowledge of TikTok, Instagram, and other relevant social media platforms. Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, familiarity with editing tools within TikTok and Instagram Reels and wider use of Adobe CC and third-party creative apps. Knowledge of video production techniques, including shooting, lighting, sound, and framing. Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey ideas and collaborate with team members. A passion for sport and baseball adjacent cultural verticals, fashion, music, food, gaming etc. An understanding of the Gen-Z audience and what resonates with them. High attention to detail, ensuring content is QC’d ahead of publishing.
