Position Overview
The Vice President, User Experience Digital Platform will develop and lead the design organization focused on our digital properties and platforms which include discovering and learning about Autodesk, e-commerce, subscription management portal, and internal productivity applications. These are used by millions of architects, engineers, designers, and makers around the world; as well as 10,000+ global Autodesk employees to be more productive every day.
Reporting to Autodesk's Chief Technologist, Digital Platforms and Experience, you will imagine, create, and deliver innovative experiences across Autodesk's digital platform and services, including customer and employee experiences. This leader will incorporate design best practices and the highest degree of operational rigor to develop inspiring and empowering customer and employee experiences. In this highly influential and collaborative role, you will partner with peer Design Leaders of our products, Marketing, Sales, Engineering, and Product Management to bring Autodesk's external and internal brand to life. You will be a passionate champion and advocate for the end user with a focus on straightforward solutions that provide analytical and creative ideas to a business challenge.
The Vice President, User Experience Digital Platform is an important senior member of the Digital Experiences leadership team. This group is chartered with empowering our customers and internal employees to discover, consider, buy, onboard, use, and extend our products and solutions anytime, on any device, with experiences that inspire expertise, advice and connections, and lifelong learning.
This role is hybrid, based on the West Coast, and will require travel to Autodesk's HQ in San Francisco.
Responsibilities
Develop a clear vision for the future of our digital platform design and user experience and have the courage to pursue forward-thinking design.Lead the User Experience design team in order to meet our goals with a focus on evolving the practice as the discipline matures.Build and execute the user experience roadmap, defining the best practices in all UX disciplines across customer and employee experiences while delivering on Autodesk's goals.Implement complex design and user experience ecosystems and inspire teams to push the boundaries of what is possible.Collaborate with peer Product Management and Engineering leaders to set priorities and roadmaps.Work across the executive team to meet our business goals and create tight cooperation and coordination between matrixed and cross-functional teams.Cultivate a design culture that supports innovation and creativity while delivering high quality products.Ensure design excellence and rigor in planning, execution, and delivery.Promote a culture of rapid iteration based on insights from customer research and data analytics.Create an environment where people are inspired to make an impact.
Minimum Qualifications
The Vice President, User Experience, Digital will have 10+ years of experience in Design and 5+ years of experience leading software product/user experience design in cloud-native/SaaS businesses. You have experience including:
Success leading the design of large-scale product offerings and systems within a high growth, global, and matrixed environment.Comfort working within a matrixed organization and influencing main partners across the business.Demonstrated technical expertise in user experience design for digital products, including web apps and native mobile apps.Fostering a healthy organizational culture by building and retaining team members that includes a diverse set of experiences.Providing design guidance, career development, and mentorship to your team.Maintained and fostered a culture of excellence by recruiting, hiring, and retaining high-performing individuals with an eye towards diversity.

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $237,000 and $363,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
