DESCRIPTION:
The company is committed to becoming a ‘edge’ user of property technology that will enhance asset value while maintaining a human first approach to resident services; removing tedious, repetitive tasks that neither enhance resident satisfaction or employee creativity. Utilizing industry leading systems, this technology role will integrate new technologies into the property management platform across the portfolio.
An understanding of multifamily operations is required, as the VP, Property Technology (“VP, Prop Tech) will work directly with Windsor Communities (“Windsor”) and GID IT leadership in designing and prioritizing solutions. This role will report directly to GID’s Chief Technology Officer, with a dotted line to the President, Windsor.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Develop and implement a prop tech strategy that aligns with the overall business goals of WindsorLead the design, development, and implementation of innovative technology solutions for the company's apartment communities, including but not limited to multi family systems, smart home technology, and digital leasing platforms.Stay current on industry trends and emerging technologies, and make recommendations on how they can be leveraged to benefit Windsor..Work closely with the President and other members of the executive team to identify new business opportunities and revenue streams through the use of technology in collaboration with GID’s CTOIn collaboration with GID’s CTO, manage the budget and resources to ensure on time and on budget delivery of projects.
Property Technology Strategy
Partner with Windsor’s and relevant GID business leaders to scope, identify, and adopt technologies that enhance the Windsor customer and employee experience, and maximize returns to our investors. Responsibilities include executing & managing CRM, whole building Wi-Fi, self-guided tour, smart home, and supporting other relevant strategic plans to centralize certain property operations. Monitor and evaluate existing and future trends in technology that may affect Windsor's strategic plans, including monitoring of overall industry trends (funding, vendors, and industry adoption). Develop and implement an annual strategic property technology business planning process in collaboration with property, asset, and portfolio management.Prepare periodic reports and analyses for the Windsor Executive Committee. Property Technology Operations
Oversee the rollout of strategic property technology initiatives in collaboration with GID;s IT leadership and outside IT consultants.Act as the primary relationship manager for CRM, whole building Wi-Fi, self-guided tour, smart home, and centralization partners .Oversee and establish objectives for annual property technology budgets.Evaluate performance and returns on prospective and existing prop tech initiatives. Ensure performance versus budget and other operational benchmarks are measured and utilized consistently as internal KPIs. REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.Minimum of 10 years of experience in a technology leadership role, with a focus on prop-tech and real estate technology
