Your Team
As a Vice President, Product Owner in Automation Services you will partner with the Chief Product Owner, Technical Leads and delivery professionals to drive the DevOps transformation at Prudential. You will define the Central Express product roadmap(s), vision and strategy to achieve critical needs. Collaborating with stakeholders, you will identify targeted business outcomes and strategic solutions that solve sophisticated business problems with innovative products, services and experiences to delight our customers! As an experienced leader and an expert in the DevOps domain, you will bring vision, strategy and excellent problem-solving skills to our organization. The team will capitalize on your superior communication, teamwork and skills, along with agile ways of working, business insight and your inclusive leadership attitude.
Here is What You Can Expect on a Typical Day
Understand business goals and targeted DevOps outcomes, subsequently design and implement solutions that directly enable these outcomesDrive the product vision, strategy and roadmap to satisfy critical business needs.Build scalable architecture that aligns with and incorporates industry standards on various key performance indicators for DevOpsShare responsibility, governance and oversight of the entire DevOps Program and the associated DevOps matrixes with other Product Owners.Lead Engineering teams, advocate development styles, testing principles, software methodologies and team structures that support the delivery of software using Agile practices.Guide colleagues through the process of tool selection and usageWork closely and integrate with internal practices in Infrastructure, Development, Testing and Application Management to underpin and promote DevOps principles and cultureSupport functions such as compliance and Information Security in the adoption of Continuous Deployment and Continuous DeliveryManage and prioritize the Product Backlog to maximize business value.Build and source our teams with skilled resources with streamlined processes to execute the product strategy
The Skills & Expertise You Bring
Bachelor of Computer Science or Engineering; or experience in related fieldsExperience in working with DevOps automation tools & practices; Knowledge of the secure software development life cycle (SSDLC)15+ Total Years Experience. 5+ year experience of Product Ownership in the DevOps DomainStrategic thinking capabilities, problem solving skills, strong execution, and accountability for outcomes.Strong leadership skills ability to motivate people, instill accountability, perform under pressure and optimize the team's resources to attain the business goals.Strong verbal, presentation, and written communications skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Lead and effectively leverage diverse ideas, experiences, thoughts, and perspectives to the benefit of the organization.Ability to learn new skills and knowledge on an on-going basis through self-initiative and tackling challenges.Excellent problem solving, communication and collaboration skills; enjoy learning new skills.Ability to conduct continuous exploration of customer needs using a variety of methods.Ability to work effectively across the organization and influence a diverse group of stakeholders and drive results.Ability to translate business need into technical terms.Strong experience with Agile methodologies, roles, ceremonies, and approaches; SAFeGlobal mindset
Strong Technical Expertise & Experience:
A minimum of 7+ years of experience working with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) solutionsA minimum of 3 years of experience working with Cloud platforms (AWS preferred)Experience working with containerized applications and deployment using Docker and KubernetesExperience driving automation and self-service capabilities.Well-versed with modern Technology solutions; Cloud services (AWS), Containers, CI-CD Tools, Microsoft Technologies, Microservices, Serverless architecturesCompetent skills in modern application languages - Python, Javascript, Groovy, C#, Java,Good understanding of Micro-Services, SOA principles and surrounding technologiesExpertise in Continuous Integration/Delivery concepts and tools such as Jenkins / Git or equivalentGood working knowledge with infrastructure as code, configuration management and automation tools such as Ansible, CloudFormation, TerraformGood understanding of various IaaS platforms including Virtualization (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack)Good working knowledge of software build tools (Maven, Gradle), artifact repository managers (e.g. Nexus, Artifactory) as well as packaging tools (RPMs, MSI)Good working knowledge of software versioning tools including BitBucket, GIT,Good working experience of Atlassian (JIRA, Confluence etc.) and other productivity tools (e.g. Teams, Slack, Trello) or equivalentMulti Operating System knowledge: Windows, Linux OS servicesGood networking, TCP/IP knowledge and security awarenessUnderstanding of application deployment and release management best practices including A/B, Canary, Dark Launches

Preferred qualifications:
Financial/Business Acumen: Knowledge of financial and/or business concepts, tools and processes and how financial metrics are used to monitor and drive outcomes. The salary range for this role is from $218,000.00 to $295,000.00. Specific pricing for the role may vary within the above range based on many factors including geographic location, candidate experience, and skills.
