Position Overview
Addressing a market that is set to more than double in size in the next seven years, Autodesk Construction Solutions' product, engineering, and user experience teams build and manage the industry's leading construction management platform to help construction teams meet the world's rapidly expanding building and infrastructure needs while making construction more predictable, safe, and sustainable.
As the Vice President of Engineering, you will lead a global team of software professionals that defines the most comprehensive, connected, and intelligent SaaS platform for the construction industry. You will set the platform strategy while sponsoring the organic and inorganic evolution of the platform to achieve this vision. You will report to the Vice President, Product Management & Engineering for Autodesk Construction Solutions.
This role can work remotely, hybrid, or in person. Travel to development team locations and customer events will be approximately 10%.
Responsibilities
You will develop Autodesk's Construction Cloud product strategy together with the head of Product Management and Autodesk Construction Solutions Leadership TeamYou will lead a global organization of 500+ employees and contractorsYou will develop an organizational structure that is finely tuned to achieve engineering excellence for a global, cloud SaaS application suite to meet organizational business prioritiesYou will work with Autodesk's external customers and partners to ensure the product meets the standards of a top-tier SaaS application suiteYou will partner with the broader Autodesk Construction Solution organization including the Customer Success Management team to engage and design processes to engineer customer success into the product
Minimum Qualifications
12+ years of experience leading all facets of engineering of scaled ($150MM+ ARR, millions of MAU) public cloud SaaS products. Experience with service operations and AWS is preferred.5+ years of experience leading teams of 250+ engineers and planning for efficient execution in a global team settingDeep knowledge of modern SaaS development and system operation tools and experience with build vs. buy vs. licenseCan identify gaps in setting up, and managing modern SaaS engineering practices with KPIsExperience with successful API-first development of applicationsExperienced working in matrixed organization and industriesExperience with the rigor of system architecture and platform thinking while diving deep to ensure resiliency and customer successExperience participating in M&A due diligence, planning, and integration of acquired organizationsSomeone who exemplifies our organizational culture code and leads with empathy

Salary transparency
Salary is one part of Autodesk's competitive compensation package. For U.S.-based roles, we expect a starting base salary between $237,000 and $363,000. Offers are based on the candidate's experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. In addition to base salaries, we also have a significant emphasis on annual cash bonuses, commissions for sales roles, stock grants, and a comprehensive benefits package.
