The Corporate Strategy team is a 20-person team the reports into the CEOand works directly with the senior leaders of DaVita to define strategicdirection. We are responsible for aligning the senior team and our Board onthe highest level questions facing DaVita. Through internal consulting andexternal business development, the team works with the CEO to define ourgrowth aspirations, where and how we compete and the capabilities requiredto win. The team uses a hypothesis based approach in problem solving togenerate insights, propose strategies and provide objective support toimprove decision making. Members of the strategy team gain significantexposure to senior leadership and can have significant impact onorganization, while accelerating their career development.
The Vice President of Corporate Strategy will report to the Chief StrategyOfficer and is a leadership position within the team. This person will lead ateam of directors, analysts and business partners to develop comprehensivestrategic solutions and influence the operational leaders to execute on thestrategy. For this role, we envision the Vice President will have anemphasis on our value-based care business, which has experienced significantgrowth in recent years and currently has $6B of medical cost under management.

Types of projects across the team can include:New growth and innovation opportunities for our value-based care business,including approaches to new payment models and opportunities to enhanceclinical and economic alignment across the care continuumPayor and provider partnership strategy development to enhance patient careand accelerate our shift to value based careCare model transformation, including opportunities to develop and launch newinitiatives (internal start-ups) to further strengthen our operating modelPartnering with Corporate Development to identify M&A opportunities thatfurther our strategyDeveloping policy strategy at the Federal and State level to advance valuebased Kidney Care

Qualifications:We are looking for an experienced candidate with a minimum of 8-10 years ofwork experience, preferably in a strategy or project management role in ananalytical environment (e.g., consulting, corporate strategy for a sc lehealthcare player). A candidate with an MBA or advanced degree ispreferred, but not required. A background in healthcare is required, andhaving value-based care experience is strongly preferred.
