We are currently seeking a Vice President of Carrier Relations to join our Marketing team. You'll primarily be responsible for managing agency appointments, contracts, and relationships across all lines of business with the purpose of maximizing the strategic alignment and quality of our trading relationships with carriers to the organization. Additional functions include managing outbound marketing strategy (placement), and creation and implementation of carrier facing strategic initiatives for efficiency and profit enhancement. The position will collaborate with the CMO in this regard.
Other responsibilities of the role include: Key point of contact and relationship manager with carrier partners. Gatekeeper of carrier/wholesaler partner appointments, contracts, and agreements. Effectively deliver key carrier initiatives, appetites, contacts, and strategies to the balance of the organization including communicating carrier goals and incentives, executing on enhanced compensation strategies (book rolls, carrier consolidation, wholesale to retail) Leverage carrier operations into the organization for efficiency gains (service centers, underwriting desks, book roll teams, field underwriting, new appointments) Effectively participate and monitor Critical Path renewal process across the region You're great at: Competent and comfortable with technology with an above average proficiency in Microsoft suite of products - Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Teams, One Note, etc. Understanding of the independent insurance industry channel, service and sales process. Sales mentality, desire to win; ability to understand numbers and need for delivering on those numbers. Comfortable presenting to employees and customers and markets when required - professional enough to represent Hub to the outside world. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and experience with training across a wide range of skills and positions. High degree of self-motivation, discipline, organizational skills, and ability to meet deadlines. Critical-thinking, problem-solving enthusiast. Ability to work in a collaborative effort with other regional executives (CSO, COO, CFO, VP HR and others) to accomplish strategic outcomes Ability to lead by example and influence change Ability to travel as necessary, mostly local and regional periodically Here's what we can offer:
