Job Description
The Vertical Solution Manager for Solution Development and Scale sits in the Networking and Edge Group (NEX) within the Networking and Edge Solutions Group (NESG) under the Ecosystem Development Organization (EDO). This key leadership role will focus on three major areas:
1) A deep understanding of NEX Vertical Industry strategies and platform architecture,
2) An ability to leverage and direct EDO's solution development and scaling engines, and
3) Driving success through geography-based sales teams and direct partner engagement
The role will require heavy engagement with NESG's key Vertical Business Units (VBUs), including one or more of the following: Federal and Industrial Solutions Division (FIS), Health, Education, and Consumer Division (HEC), and Cities and Critical Infrastructure Division (CCID). Collaboration and communication will be across the organization, including senior leadership, key decision makers, as well as both business development and technical stakeholders. An intimate understanding of Vertical BU strategies, roadmap, platforms, and solutions is a necessity. The position will also require significant interaction with our Sales and Marketing Group, including Category Sales, Centers of Excellence, in-geography account teams and directly with a wide range of external partners and customers.
In order to enable true vertical ecosystem solution scale, the Vertical Solutions Manager will be focused on utilizing their deep vertical industry expertise and applying that knowledge to our marquee solution development and scale engines: The Intel Edge Solutions Challenge (IESC), Market Ready Solutions (MRS), and RFP Ready Kits (RRK) workstreams. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Ensuring the VBU's key solution-level engagements across their vertical ecosystem are adopted into these program engines.
Driving alignment between our scaling program engines (IESC/MRS/RRK) structure, criteria, operations, and value proposition are aligned and relevant to the vertical ecosystem partners and run seamlessly with internal VBU workstreams and key Vertical BU stakeholder teams.
Attend all Council Reviews for IESC, MRS, and RRK relevant to their Vertical as a subject matter expert and assist in vetting, cultivating, accelerating, servicing, and approving/rejecting new solutions into the respective program engines and value exchange.
Connecting with in-geo account teams, SMG stakeholders, and external partners to drive participation in IESC campaigns relevant to their Vertical BU.
Responsible for engaging the long tail of ecosystem partners for their vertical and utilizing our Solution Development and Scale engines in a "Program Covers Customer" model.
Working across key CEED teams to drive acceleration for their vertical ecosystem partners to develop and scale innovative, new solutions.
This role is global in nature and will require interaction across multiple geographies, mainly the US and Asia. Engagement will largely be done remotely, with opportunities to travel as budget allows.
Qualifications
Deep subject matter expertise and knowledge will be expected in one or more of the following areas: 1) Federal and Industrial Solutions Division (FIS), Health, Education, and Consumer Division (HEC), and Cities and Critical Infrastructure Division (CCID). Qualified applicants should have a robust understanding of the Vertical Business Unit's roadmap, technologies, platform strategies, reference architectures, and value chain.
In addition to internal vertical expertise, a broad knowledge of external vertical industry trends, use cases, ecosystem partners, monetization models, and more is required.
An understanding of NEX's solution development and scale engines, including strategy, process, operations, and program structure.
Comfortable interacting across many level of an organization, including senior leadership and working-level operations, both internal to Intel as well as external partners and customers.
Fluency in English is a must with ability to converse in other languages (Mandarin or others) a significant plus.
