Job Purpose:
Our Vertical Account Executive (VAE) is responsible for targeting,acquiring and closing high value revenue opportunities at local andregional based Food Companies and Contract Manufacturers within the FoodProduction Vertical. This position requires a "hunter" approach asthey will develop relationships with Packaging, Operations andProcurement decision makers at targeted accounts that align with theVeritiv Direct Food Contact strategy. Once the opportunity is closed andis effectively onboarded, the VAE will hand off management of therelationship to our Sales and Program Management teams.
Job Responsibilities:
? Work for and closely with Veritiv Sales Leadership and RegionalSpecialists to set strategy, determine target Vertical opportunities,and develop business. overall sales goals/quotas.
? Collaborate with Veritiv Leadership and Regional Specialists toidentify opportunities, develop ideas that deliver sales results andsell the Veritiv value proposition.
? Communicate with clients and gather information about a project'sgoals, budgets, and outcomes.
? Partner with Regional Sales Professionals and Specialists to closeopportunities and turn over all transactional activities ensuring asmooth transition.
? Develop proposals targeted at key customer decision makers thatdeliver Value to the identified prospect.
? Maintain a robust pipeline of potential local and regionalopportunities at all points in the sales cycle.
? Participate in business reviews and other customer functions asneeded.
? Consult with company legal representatives to develop contracts andagreements that protect company interests.
? Performs other related duties as needed.
Additional Responsibilities Qualifications:
? Strong technical knowledge of flexible and rigid packaging productsfor Direct Food Contact applications
? Experience in development, implementation, successful execution ofplans to generate new business in targeted market segments and prospects
7-10 years proven business development and/or packaging experiencepreferred
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

Strong financial acumen and analysis.
Possess a strong drive for results.
? $130-150k base + bonus
