The AMER Venue Operations Manager leads teams of talented Event Production Managers, Producers and Event Production Engineers who deliver live and broadcast quality events for the AMER Event Productions team. This is an exciting opportunity to work alongside company’s leadership, directing high-impact planning and producer team operations. A successful candidate will bring their years of production operational experience to the team and step seamlessly into a fast-paced corporate office environment, demonstrating strong organizational skills, impeccable customer service attitude, and be energetically driven to serve our customers and the team.
Key job responsibilities
• Accountable for daily operations of venues
• Evangelizes team standard operating procedures
• Leads new hire onboarding and development plans
• Manages and develops venue production teams
• Reviews and manages team related data and metrics
• Acts as an escalation point for direct reports and customers
• Develops and improves communication across teams and services
• Consults on venue project planning for the opening of new venues
• Builds and maintains strong relationships with partner groups and stakeholders
• Works on team related customer programmatic initiatives
• Energetically encourages raising the bar on team functional competencies: audio production, video production, lighting design, broadcasting, and streaming.
A day in the life
The Venue Operations Manager will oversee teams of production managers, producers, and production engineers. These teams are responsible for serving customers who book Amazon’s event production venues, transforming customer ideas into technical productions. Producers work with our customers as visionary creatives, show-callers and stage managers. Production Engineers work with our customers as grip, lighting, audio, video, and streaming broadcast professionals, delivering high quality live events and streamed productions to our customers.

Basic Qualifications
5+ years of developing a team of technical professionals across multiple locations experience
Ability to adjust work schedule to business needs, including 30% travel
3+ years project or program management experience
5+ years employee people management experience
5+ years planning and managing live or production operations.
Experience with production booking and production operations
Demonstrated experience with venue or studio management
Familiarity with industry best practices and emerging technologies
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree, or 5+ years of professional or military experience
Evangelizes standard operation procedure, and increases efficiencies
Strong analytical skills and demonstrated ability to dive deep in to related metrics
Demonstrated ability to train, educate, mentor and/or coach team members
Proficiency with MacOS and WindowsOS, Microsoft Outlook and MS Office Suite. Optional: SharePoint, Visio, Asana, Tableau

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $93,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
