Job Description
As part of the Global Supply Chain and Group Purchasing Organization Information Technology (GSC & GPO IT) Team, the candidate will lead the acquisition and delivery of business-critical GS-1 data (Global System of Standards 1, usually data relating to nutritional, products descriptions, categories, allergens, etc.) to ensure the operational success of our Supply Chain and GPO organizations as well as our Lines of Business, including our operator locations. The candidate will provide good project and time management skills, develop presentations for management, report on analytical insights, have excellent communication skills and follow up. Will work across IT, internal business stakeholders, with our supplier community, and well as 3 rd party providers.
Job Responsibilities
I. Technical Expertise
Ideal candidate will be proficient in MS Office as well as MS Project or another project management tool. Ability to utilize PowerPoint to develop presentations to management as required. Candidate should be familiar with common reporting and analytics software (Power BI, Qlik, Cognos, etc.) to generate reports for management. Understanding of GS-1 and GDSNs (Global Data Synchronization Networks), especially as related to the foodservice industry, is beneficial. Further, understanding of foodservice manufacturers and distributors, as related to system capabilities, data transfer, and technical vendor onboarding is a plus. Understanding of Master Data Systems ideal.
II. Industry Knowledge/Emerging Technologies
Demonstrates an understanding of the business needs for Operations, Supply Chain, and Finance organizations for quality product data and attributes. Understands the general foodservice landscape and supply chain. Knowledge of 3rd party data providers such as GDSN providers and GS-1 data is ideal.
I. Communication and Client Interaction
Has deep relationships with the Supply Chain Procurement, Distribution, IT, and Analytics teams. Builds deep relationships with our distribution, manufacturer, and vendor partners. Regularly holds sessions to listen to the current and future needs of the business and sharing insights with the team on a frequent cadence. Ensures that proper stakeholders are informed, sharing insights, ideas and project updates regularly. Monitors all projects, requests, issues, or support items until completely resolved.
II. Problem Solving/Decision Making
Ability to identify current priorities, and/ or potential issues, then solve the problem or escalate to the correct team if support is needed. Needs to be able to measure success within the GS-1 space through continuous improvement in the amount of and accuracy of data captured.
III. Project Life Cycle Management
Strong project management and vendor management skills are a must. Must be able to work with business teams, third parties, and suppliers to prioritize and organize vendor data onboarding, data quality checks, report out frequently on status, and escalate if/ as required.
Qualifications
Responsible for providing day-to-day supplier outreach, follow up, tracking, reporting, and escalation to mangement as required
Typically requires 3 (or more) years of supplier and project management
BA/BS degree or equivalent
Project Management certification ideal but not required
