The Boeing Company is seeking Crane Maintenance Mechanics with experience maintaining overhead cranes to join our Global Real Estate and Facilities (GREF) team.
We have openings in our Seattle, SeaTac, Tukwila, Kent, Auburn, Renton, and Puyallup, Washington locations.

Position Responsibilities:
Inspect, maintain, repair, rebuild, retrofit, modify, assemble/disassemble, troubleshoot, analyze, diagnose, calibrate, adjust, and test mechanical systems and or subsystems of all types of cranes such as, but not limited to, cab operated, radio controlled, jib type, pendant operated
Understand and work in compliance with Crane Systems Management Program (CSMP) and other applicable codes, regulations, and standards for overhead cranes
Maintain, adjust, install and repair hydraulic, pneumatic and electric brake system components on cranes and bridges
Inspect and maintain building runway rails and expansion joints
Maintain mechanical crane and hoist systems including cables, chain, sheaves and hooks
Schedule and prepare for the operational and load tests of cranes and bridges as required by engineering, all applicable codes and regulations
Use schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances
Operate and utilize mechanical, test equipment and test systems, precision devices in failure analysis, all forms of predictive/preventative technologies, as required on cranes
Operate, use and maintain overhead maintenance work platforms
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options .
This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
3+ years of experience using schematics, blueprints, sketches, manuals, technical documents, written information, verbal information, applicable procedures, codes and ordinances
3+ years of experience maintaining mechanical cranes and hoists systems including cables, chain sheaves and hooks
Ability to pass and complete fall protection training and work with heights of seventy feet or more and not exceed weight restrictions
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
1+ years of hands-on experience as a mechanic
1+ years of experience inspecting and maintaining crane like systems
Mechanical ability and hand/eye coordination to perform rigging, hook-ups and crane moves
