This position is responsible for collaboratively working with others to plan and execute manufacturing programs and build plans. Assisting with order placement and follow up related to purchased products, the Value Stream Planner will reinforce work order scheduling policy ensuring on time conforming product delivery.Functions and ResponsibilitiesExecution of daily production control tasks as assigned (including ship reports, and input material releases).Analyze sales orders within the planning lead time ensuring material is available to fulfill scheduled orders.Support the value stream as required by planning manufacturing build plans.Help with troubleshooting and dealing with exceptions to product flow.Performs analysis that highlights trends, drivers, and issues with production planning. Initiates counter measures to resolve issues, develop capability, and ensures resolution.Ability to organize and manage multiple conflicting projects.Ability to troubleshoot and recommend solutions.Coordinate and support internal and external supplier replenishment methods.Manage discrepant and stranded inventory to minimize work in process.Responsible for monitoring, reporting and updating MRB work center manufacturing work orders until returned to the standard flow of work in the shop.Actively participate in Lean process improvement and projects.Active collaboration with Production Supervisor and Value Stream Support team in root-cause resolution of production down time.Successful execution of basic program plans as assigned.
