About the Team
We are a diverse and dynamic organization that includes research, analytics, and design. Our job is to help Workday deliver human centered solutions to help make work effortless for over 60 million workers.The Director of Operations for Research, Analytics, & Design (RAD) reports to the VP of RAD and is an integral member of our senior leadership team. This person, and their team, will be the glue that holds the organization together by setting the strategy for how we work together and with cross-functional partners, how we get work done, and how our work creates impact.
About the Role
As the Director of Operations for Research, Analytics, & Design (RAD), you will play a leadership role in defining strategy and supporting operational excellence for a large, multi-disciplined, and diverse team. You will lead a team of managers and ICs who are responsible for supporting programs & that allow us to scale and improve overall quality of our work. You will play a key role in helping us develop and maintain strong relationships with our cross-functional partners. The work you lead will help us elevate the role of human-centered design thinking across Workday.
Our ideal candidate is an experienced people leader who has hired and grown outstanding teams. They bring knowledge and understanding of how research and design teams work. They are collaborative and prioritize building trust based relationships. They are experienced and skilled at defining and supporting operations and bring a team first mentality and approach.
Responsibilities:
Contributing to overall RAD strategy as well as Workday's strategy for improving and elevating user experience.
Ensuring we have and effectively apply tools and processes that allow us to work effectively as an organization.
Defining a quality bar for research and design and supporting the team in meeting the bar.
Developing processes to help strengthen cross functional relationships.
Leading a team of operational leads responsible for helping us achieve strategic and tactical objectives.
Creating a strategy and mechanisms for making our work visible across all levels of Workday.
Working closely with product operations team to influence ways of working that facilitate human-centered product development.
Devising tactics for improving our ability to influence product strategy to increase the value user experience investments brings to our customers and our company.
Becoming a key champion for human-centered product development who is known as a leader of change.
