General Summary:
Qualcomm’s XR team is seeking a UX Designer Intern to join a talented and innovative team developing the next generation of Augmented and Virtual reality (XR) technologies. The UX Designer Intern will be responsible for optimizing the user experience of our product, placing a strong emphasis on quality, usability, and overall success in the field. This role will involve driving research and development efforts towards prioritizing key aspects that truly impact the product.
Our pioneering team is working on essential areas of augmented reality for mobile and future platforms.
Responsibilities:
Assist in designing a superior customer experience and learn about customer and user-centered design
Help in translating user requirements into meaningful and engaging experiences, taking into account business requirements, company strategy, and technical capabilities and constraints.
Support in creating engaging, highly usable designs and layouts
Participate in conceptualizing, validating and implementing new product features
Analyze requirements together with Project Owners
Cooperate with developers in agile, interdisciplinary teams
Help organize and participate in usability testing
Skills/Experience:
Minimum Qualifications:
University degree in Design, Cognitive Science, Computer Science or Engineering with focus on user interface design and development.
Professional experience in the field of user interface design (Adobe XD, Figma).
Experience in the process of user-centered design and using corporate design systems.
Preferred Qualifications:
Several years of working experience and an outstanding portfolio showcasing UX work for mobile, desktop or touch devices; experience with the latest tools for design and prototyping
Experience in creating personas, user flows, sitemaps, transaction flows, scenarios, wireframes and navigation models
Experience in user-centered working methods and methods such as design thinking and design sprints.
Experience in research technics and methods (Qualitative and Quantitative survey, usability tests and data analysis)
Experience in design Frameworks (Design Thinking, Human-Centered Design, mixed methodologies)
