CGI Federal has an exciting opportunity for a Sr. User Portal Developer. In this position, you will work with multiple IT disciplines in shaping, executing and sustaining the Cloud/Hosting strategy for a shared service platform focused on identifying and mitigating a wide range of cyber risks. You will work closely with the Cloud Architecture and Operations teams to support the client’s mission, priorities and unique challenges. You will also support the implementation of cyber security COTS offerings focusing on next generation security solutions and technologies.
This position is located in our Fairfax, VA office; however a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to be in our Fairfax, VA office two days per week.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Design and develop a web portal for monitoring and reporting status and errors at various points in a data integration pipeline, report data quality metrics and for configuring data sources and schedules.
• Develop code modules for data extraction from data sources including Parquet and AWS Cloudwatch and AWS EventBridge.
• Build user interfaces for visualizing data trending and data anomalies using SQL queries and APIs.
• Design and develop the front-end interface modules using React.
• Work with product management and UX team to understand the requirements and build technical backlog.
• Debug/troubleshoot issues in code modules to fix the defects reports, if any.
• Develop unit tests as part of Test Driven Development (TDD) process for all the code modules.
• Ensure the web application is secure from OWASP Top 10 risks.
• Proactively communicate and coordinate with multiple project teams.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Due to the nature of the contract requirements, US citizenship and successful passing of CGI background check is required prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) and a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
• 2+ years of experience in developing web applications using JavaScript and React.
• Avanced experience in writing SQL queries and in building the required code logic to support the portal interfaces.
• Advanced experience in developing code modules and visualizations using RESTful APIs.
• Advanced experience in Building application modules that are secure from OWASP Top 10 risks.
• A good understanding of Static and Dynamic security testing of web applications.
• Advanced ability to debug, troubleshoot existing logic units in code modules.
• Advanced ability to write basic SQL queries for data extraction and validation.
• A thorough understanding of JSON and XML.
• Thorough knowledge of code building and deployment tools including Git and experience in CI/CD processes.
• Hands-on experience designing and implementing container (Docker) solutions on Kubernetes or Amazon ECS.
• Demonstrated ability to contribute to the development of client deliverables and technical content.
Desired qualifications
• Expertise in Web application development using AWS native services such as AWS S3, AWS EventBridge, AWS Cloudwatch and AWS Athena is preferred.
• Advanced experience in containerizing software modules using Docker/Kubernetes.
• Advanced experience in the design, deployment & integration of on premise and hybrid cloud solutions.
• Understanding of various data formats and payload structures.

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit-based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $84,000 - $161,600.
