What you'll do...
The Mac Systems Engineer is responsible for managing the Mac Hardware and Software environment for Walmart Globally. This will involve escalations from support, automation of workflows, scripting, Jamf Pro Cloud, 3rd party software configuration, and working side by side with Walmart's security and network teams to bring the best user experience to associates. This individual will work with members of both the Mac Engineering team and other IT teams in California, Bentonville, and Global Offices, as well as other departments and external SW vendors to evaluate, plan for, and implement new technology.

What you'll do:
Respond to escalations from L2 support
Ability to work with SW configuration workflows to deploy via Jamf Pro ensuring the best user experience
Respond to system alerts, outages, service requests on an On Call basis
Ability to script and automate the implementation of Mac platform SW, security tools, certificate renewals, and MFA
Maintains relevant knowledge of industry through continuing education and training in technologies like Apple technologies, Jamf, shell scripting, SQL, 1E, and Microsoft products
Familiarity with physical and virtual servers for caching, patch management, Active Directory amongst other services.
Collaborate with the Mac Product Manager and develop new product and bring in new technology.
This position is a hybrid position but will require time in the office at least 2 days a week.
What you'll bring:
3+ years in a Mac/Apple-heavy technical troubleshootin role
2+ years experience with administrating Jamf Pro or other MDM service for macOS
Basic knowledge of shell scripting
Familiarity with Networking HW, LAN and Wi-Fi, DNS, Proxy and Firewall configurations
Excellent communication and troubleshooting skills
Knowledge of Active Directory/LDAP users and groups
Jamf 200 certifications
Previous experience with major 3rd party vendors like Cisco, Microsoft, and Zoom
Jamf 300 and 400 certified
Experience with 3rd party security tools on a Mac platform.
Understanding of networking concepts such as IPv4, IPv6, TCP/UDP.
Understanding of information security concepts, such as RBAC, SSO, MFA, etc.
Knowledge of network services such as NTP, SNMP, RADIUS, Syslog, etc.
