Overview
First Citizens Middle Market Banking delivers a range of financial solutions to midsize clients through a relationship banking model. The business offers deposit solutions, loans, treasury services and other banking products to manufacturers, distributors and a wide variety of service industries.
This position underwrites credit exposure for and large credit relationships and circumstances and actively manages a Middle Market Banking (MMB) portfolio. Manages portfolio risk and adheres to all regulatory and compliance guidelines. Manages, services, and develops banking relationships through prescribed servicing and sales processes. Identifies emerging credit problems and industry trends.

Underwriting - Underwrites MMB accounts according to applicable regulations, procedures, and guidelines. Reviews financial statements, communicates with clients or prospects, and performs analysis to recommend credit grades and appropriate loan structuring. Ensures all involved parties are updated on underwriting progress and outcome.Portfolio Management - Monitors assigned portfolio for completeness of documentation, accuracy of credit grading, and potential exposures. Processes line renewals and new requests as per loan approval servicing requirements. Performs other tasks related portfolio servicing and management.Analysis - Sources, compiles, and interprets financial data to support structuring and approval of loans. Reviews industry information and comparisons, key risks and mitigants, and collateral to form a general business overview of the borrower. Utilizes results of analysis to underwrite loans.Risk Management - Identifies risks through reviews, analysis, and research of new and existing loans. Communicates identified risks, review schedule, and potential changes in the energy portfolio. Bachelor's Degree and 2 years of experience in Credit analysis, underwriting or Risk Management OR High School Diploma or GED and 6 years of experience in Credit analysis, underwriting or Risk ManagementPreferred Education: Bachelors area of Study: Business, Finance, EconomicsPreferred Area of Experience: Finance, BankingSkill(s): Completion of a formal credit training program
