Broadridge is hiring! Our Composition team out of the New York office is looking for a Typesetter to join their team. This role will be responsible for layout typescripts and graphic elements using computer software to produce publication-ready material, the presentation layout of components for documents from first pages through preparation of print ready files and perform quality checks and make corrections as required.
This is a temporary, contract role with the potential to go full-time. We are made up of high-performing teams that meet in person to learn and collaborate as needed. This role is considered hybrid, which means you'll be assigned to a Broadridge office and given the flexibility to work remotely.
Requirements:
•Take a job from customer files to conversion, pagination, art placement, revisions, and final output.
•Import various format documents into standing templates; be knowledgeable in the use of content layout hardware/software.
•Use/apply company style grammar, and read proofreader marks.
•Must know how to output final deliverables for online and print.
•Follow up/troubleshoot problems, confer with management on out-of-scope items.
•Train in all functional areas of department, maintain process documentation and train others.
•Promote a positive atmosphere and demonstrate good work ethic.
•Work successfully in a team environment by accepting/giving feedback, collaborating with others.
