The Manufacturing Engineering Leader will lead professional and hourly associates on all Manufacturing Engineering processes as well as partner with the Business Leader to ensure success of the Tubing Business. This person will be involved in ensuring success in all business facets: Safety, Quality, Delivery & Cost.

Roles and Responsibilities
Plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of the engineering and manufacturing planning teams, including quality, maintenance and tooling activities in support of the department. Defines and controls production processes including tooling, equipment, operating standards and manufacturing methods.Validates design specifications and manufacturing capability of new products through concurrent development with product design teams. Leads the activities of manufacturing engineering and quality teams to develop and introduce new products including procurement, methods, tooling and first article inspection.Collaborate across functions to drive sustainable outcomes for key metrics through productivity process improvements, scrap and rework reduction projects, and product design improvements.Develops and maintains business continuity plans to ensure the plant and equipment readiness for new and existing products. Coordinates cross functionally to create and execute CAPEX needs for the department.Works closely with department operations staff to ensure connectivity of engineering priorities to the department KPI's. Coordinates daily technical resource allocation to operational challenges related to product safety and delivery, while leading initiatives supporting cultural and technical transformation.Manages a small to medium team of professionals as well as others. Requires specialized knowledge within the function. Influence the development of strategy for the department connected to technical and cultural transformation initiatives, including control of resources and influences policy formulation. Interprets simple internal and external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services. Stays informed of industry trends that may inform work.Uses high level of judgment to make decisions and handle complex tasks or problems in areas of operational, product management, manufacturing, technology or engineering. Has ability to assess quality of information given and ask pertinent questions to stakeholders. Able to offer new solutions to problems outside of set parameters and is able to construct and provide recommendations. Uses multiple internal and some external sources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.May lead functional teams or projects with minimal resource requirements, risk, and/or complexity. Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or collegeMinimum of 5 additional years of experience in Manufacturing Engineering Management
