Job Description
Job Duties and Responsibilities:
* Develop, maintain, and enhance complex and diverse software systems (e.g., data transfer architectures, manipulation of extremely large data sets, message processing) based on documented requirements.
o Work individually or as part of a team.
o Review and tests software components for adherence to the design requirements and documents test results
o Resolve software problem reports
o Utilize software development and software design methodologies appropriate to the development environment
o Provide specific input to the software components of system design to include hardware/software trade-offs, software reuse, use of Commercial-Off-the-shelf (COTS)/Government Off-the-shelf (GOTS) in place of new development, and requirements analysis, and synthesis from system level to individual software components
Skills and Requirements
Necessary Skills and Knowledge:
* Demonstrated experience and/or familiarity with RedHat, Linux, CentOS and/or UNIX
Minimum Qualifications:
* Possess 4-6 years' experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity is required.
* Possess an active TS/SCI clearance
* Possess a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or another related discipline from an accredited college or university.
o In lieu of a degree, four (4) years of additional software engineering experience on projects with similar software processes may be substituted for a Bachelor's degree, for a total of eight (8) years of experience.
* Required Technical Skills:
o Experience with Java, C/C++, Python
o Experience with JavaScript (React) web development
o Experience with RESTful Web Services
o Experience with Linux (Red Hat 7/8) systems
o Experience with Java, C/C++, Python
o Experience with MySQL (MariaDB), PostgreSQL
o Experience with Git version control
o Experience with Amazon Web Services Preferred Qualifications:
* Security+ certification preferred null
