This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for a Travel Demand Modeler, Consultant for our Seattle office. The following locations will also be considered: New York City, Chicago . Be involved in projects with our Advisory Services, Systems Analysis Group team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.

Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Data Science, Transportation Planning or related field.
3-5 years of relevant post education experience working as a data scientist/analyst
Knowledge of the principles and practices of travel behavior, travel demand modeling and forecasting
Knowledge and application of activity-based and/or four-step models in TransCAD, Emme, Cube Voyager and/or Visum highly desirable.
Experience conducting statistical analyses of travel survey and passively-collected transportation data
Ability to analyze and explain model outputs and travel demand forecasts including performance metrics and travel behavior impacts. Experience automating the process of model result
ummarization.
Ability to program in Python or R
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, with strong writing and presentation skills.
Ability to analyze and problem solve
Strong organizational skills and documentation techniques
Preferred Qualifications:
Master’s degree is preferred.
Prior experience within the engineering consulting industry is preferred.

Compensation:
Expected Salary: $90,620 - $97,000
WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location. WSP USA reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s sex or other status protected by local, state, and/or federal law.
