Compensation:$17.50 Hourly
The Transporter is responsible for the transportation of Compass Health consumers and will dispatch, route, and track new and existing transportation referrals. The Transporter will drive and maintain agency vehicles and must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS - JOB SPECIFIC:
Drives within posted speed limits with passengers in their seatbelts while vehicle is in motionObeys safety regulations and traffic lawsRequires working in a team environmentActs as a preceptor and educator to new staffAttends 20 or more hours of continuing education per year, passes initial/annual physical, and passes required classes such as CALM and CPRReports and schedules any vehicle maintenance needs, and is responsible for regularly cleaning the vehicleReports any emergency breakdowns or accidents per company policyCompletes vehicle inspection, mileage, and maintenance logsMust have knowledge and understanding of policy and procedures, and abide by all Federal and state lawsTransport Compass Health patientsPlan efficient pick up and drop off routes to maximize efficiencyMaintain professional, and respectful communication with customers, public and other staffFollow event report and patient complaints policy and processesNotify supervisor of unusual occurrences or risk management issuesWork outside in all weather conditionsCompletes vehicle inspection logs (Clubhouse only)May provide support with conflict resolution and support members when crises arise (Clubhouse only)Supports staff and members in daily operations of Clubhouse (Clubhouse only)Communicates any updates regarding members with supervisor and other staff (Clubhouse only)Other duties as assignedGuidelinesObey safety regulations and traffic lawsRespect persons served confidentiality and interact in a professional mannerReport any emergency breakdown or accident as required to transportation managerFollow agency van usage guidelinesOther ResponsibilitiesAttend all trainings as required by Compass Health Network, Accreditors, and FundersOther miscellaneous duties as assigned
JOB REQUIREMENTSHigh School/GED preferred
Ability to possess cognitive, organizational, and emotional maturity to deal effectively with multiple stressors requiredAt least one-year experience in customer service or health-related field preferredExperience with management of transportation programs preferredExcellent communication skills and computer skills (Microsoft Office Suite) preferred
QUALIFICATION(S): LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION: Must have a valid Class E Missouri drivers license or ability to obtain after 60 days orMust have a valid Class E Missouri drivers license upon hire (Clubhouse only)
