Responsibilities:
Supervises, hires, trains, evaluates and motivates the Transport Invoicing and Billing team; directs the daily work of direct reportsOversees the accounting processes associated with generating invoices, correcting/adjusting invoices when necessary and providing periodic reporting associated with all truck freight invoicing and billing. Works with Transport Scheduling and Planning team to ensure all information is obtained and accurate and identifies opportunities for quality control improvements.Collaborates with internal partners to ensure that all truck freight is accounted for, and accurate.Maintains transportation management system (TMS) back office to ensure all trucks freight rates, fuel surcharges and other billable items are maintained and updated.Oversees all aspects of shipping paper (bills of lading) are properly processed and maintained in accordance with regulatory requirements and Company policy including virtual document management solution.Acts a primary point of contact for both external customers and internal stakeholders for all truck freight invoicing and billing items, as well as shipping documents.Responsible for overall execution of customer's web-based / portal data entry and document management requirements.Trains employees on department policies and procedures. Evaluates employees based upon various performance metrics and determines if additional training is necessary. Conducts training as neededCreates materials necessary to update procedures and trainingIdentifies process changes to improve efficiency, effectiveness and customer satisfaction. Makes recommendations accordinglyProvides expertise at various meetings by attending and presenting data as neededCompletes departmental reporting as neededCompletes other duties as assigned by Management
