The Transportation Director- Final Mile supports the identification and delivery of cutting-edge transportation services solutions, implementing field and customer-focused processes and initiatives that maximize routing performance, enhance cross functional communication, and reduce cross-market variability for Final Mile programs including, but not limited to, Recovery Express and Pronto Services.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Manage business relationships and performance of Final Mile solutions and capacity providers.
Direct divisions with program setup, onboarding, and compliance management.
Develop and implement performance management routines for direct and 3PL solutions within Final Mile businesses including the development of financial and performance related reporting and dashboards.
Drive KPI attainment and improvements by contributing to and executing process improvement plans and Operations Execution plays designed to maximize performance, delight the customer, improve on-time delivery, and minimize costs for Final Mile programs.
Partner with cross-functional teams, particularly sales, to drive adherence to program guidance while minimizing cost and customer disruption.
Identify, screen, negotiate, and implement contracts with new service providers.

External : Operations, IT, and Leadership of 3PL Logistics and Technology partners
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
8 years of transportation operations and strategy implementation business management experience
Familiarity with transportation and routing leading practices and related performance metrics
Strong communication skills
Experience influencing peers and senior leaders
Competency identifying/establishing, implementing, and sharing operational best practices
50-75% Travel
EDUCATION
Bachelor’s degree in business, transportation and logistics, operations management, supply chain management, or equivalent experiencePREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Industry knowledge: Working knowledge of distribution operations, including routing and/or transportation, and of related federal, state and local regulations in the foodservice or transportation industry.
Project Management: Strong project management skills and knowledge of program management principles, methodology and tools; ability to plan and lead project implementations with a sense of urgency and in the context of broader program initiatives, including scheduling, resources, scope, budget, risks/issues, communication, and reporting.
