Team/Department Description :
The MIS Translation team is global function, with translators and editors located in eleven different countries, responsible for translating our content into seven languages. Our translations cover a broad spectrum of subject matters, including (but not limited to) credit analysis of corporate institutions and governments, credit-related research on geopolitics, sustainability, macro-economics and emerging markets.
Role/Responsibilities :
Provide accurate and timely translations of credit rating methodologies, credit opinions, rating and non-rating action press releases, and research from English into Arabic and French.Partner with the senior translations editor, and other translators to ensure consistent use of terminology, whilst abiding by and adhering to our research standards.Foster close relationships with other related teams in the production workflow; ranging from analytical teams, research writers, graphics production and press desks. Perform independent research of concepts and complex terminology where necessary to ensure translations are accurate reflections of the original version.Exercise judgment when problems are identified, proposing solutions to help further improve the translation process and introduce efficiencies where possible.Communicate effectively with analytical teams and other important stakeholders; planning and adjusting the pipeline of work as volumes and demands dictate.Work on occasional ad-hoc projects, to develop workflows for new products or assist with strategic planning.
Qualifications/what we expect from you:
Degree holder in Translation or Business-related fields.MA in Translation preferred.Excellent command of spoken and written English, French and Arabic; other languages a plus.Sound knowledge of PC operations, including Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint).Familiarity with Trados and/or other CAT tools.Knowledge of, and interest in translations technology and AI.Good knowledge of financial terminology.Strong sense of responsibility, able to work under pressure and meet tight timeframes.Self-motivated with eye for details and a good teammate!Good communications skills & customer-service oriented approach.Prior work experience in similar fields is desirable, but not essential.Professional experience in research in equivalent institutions will be an advantage.A background in the financial industry, technology or similar is preferable.
Actual salaries will vary and will be based on various factors, such as candidate's qualifications, skills, and competencies.
