Job Description Summary:
The Transition Navigator position is a part of the College and Career Transitions team and is responsible for providing cutting-edge academic and career focused programs, and support for children, adolescents, and adults who face economic insecurity.
The budget period is from 7/1/2023-6/30/2024. Future funding is contingent on the renewal of grant funds.
Minimum Qualifications:
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
One to two years of college credit (30 credit hours are equivalent to one year) or related certification
Minimum of 3 years of experience performing the duties outlined above (in DC, MD or VA. Preferred).
Minimum of 1 year of experience working with an electronic health record or similar technology related to service delivery is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in social work, psychology, human services, higher education, or a related field preferred.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Must have the use of sensory skills in order to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through the use of the telephone and personal contact as normally defined by the ability to see, read, talk, hear, handle or feel objects and controls. Physical capability to effectively use and operate various items of office related equipment, such as, but not limited to a, personal computer, calculator, copier, and fax machine. No significant climbing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, and repetitive motions.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Ability to communicate effectively in spoken and written standard English.
