The Opportunity:
ECI has an exciting opportunity for a Transition Engineer - Office 365 & Device Management who will "see the world through the eyes of the customer" delivering workstation and mobile device platform conversions to our clients in the financial services, life sciences, legal and manufacturing verticals just to mention a few. Your typical day will involve migrating, educating, and supporting end users as part of their cloud onboarding journey.
In this role, the successful Transition Engineer will have the opportunity to work with some of the latest workstation and device management technologies across a myriad of clients in an organization that fosters an ownership culture, in which every employee takes personal responsibility for ECI's success.
For India based roles: This is a hybrid role and candidates must be within a commutable distance to our Bangalore, Indore, or Hyderabad office. Rotating shifts: early mornings / UK / EMEA hours and after hours.
What you will do:
Resolve O365 and device conversion project support cases and work orders associated with end-user cloud migrations.Work directly with end users and manage their cloud migration experience.Provide accurate, comprehensive notes on work performed to account for time spent with customersProvide end-user software support on common productivity technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive.Support and troubleshoot common mail platform and security systems such as Microsoft Exchange, Proofpoint Essentials and MimecastProvide support of Active Directory such as add/remove users, password resets, Group Policy application, task schedulingInterface with common technology support tools such as Remote Monitoring and Management (RMM), Mobile Device/Mobile Application Management, Anti-Virus/Anti-MalwareParticipate in after-hours client cloud migrations/conversionsApply basic understanding of network principles such as DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
Who you are:
2-5 years' experience as a support engineerAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suiteUnderstanding of e-mail and spam technologiesHands-on hardware experience with desktops, laptops, and mobile devicesFamiliarity with file system support including permissions, sharing, backups and restoresExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft 365 suite and IntuneExperience in Desktop and mobile device support (Windows, iOS, Android)Good written and oral communication skillsGood interpersonal skills, with a focus on rapport-building and managing expectationsHighly self-motivated and directed, in a fast-paced team environmentSharp attention to detail with proven analytical and critical thinking skillsEffective time management and excellent prioritization skills
Bonus points if you have:
Experience with Managed Service Providers (MSP)Hands-on experience administering Microsoft 365 and Intune
