Primary leadership role responsible for development, coordination, communication and publishing of commercial/merchandising training to align with formally approved company direction. Process includes identifying the most effective method for training and presenting the policy/process to ensure proper awareness and compliance. In addition to these duties the level 2 specialist also provides subject matter expertise to the business in the areas of change management and training content management/communication.
Recipe for Success - What's "in store" for the role
Lead talent development projects, influencing without authority, to facilitate the process throughout the project lifecycle to execution (ex. Critical Initiatives related to associate development, Succession Planning, Performance Management, Leadership Development and Functional skill development).Identify, create and implement sustainable learning and development solutions, including but not limited to:Facilitating needs assessment discussions with business partners to identify their associates' learning and developmental needs;Translating business learning needs/objectives into innovative, consistent & sustainable learning solutions;Creating instructional materials using a wide range of tools (instructor-led training, eLearning, standard practice training aids, etc.);Partnering with appropriate resources to ensure effective, efficient and impactful execution of learning & development solutions ;Evaluating impact of learning & development solutions and using findings to increase effectiveness and influence sustained change.Establish relationships with internal and external business partners to tap into expertise and increase collaboration toward improved business results.Influence leaders and key internal collaborators using a consultative approach.Apply current industry standard methodologies when recommending, creating and delivering talent development solutions.Guide leaders in the identification of subject matter experts, learning partners and trainers.Mentor and develop future trainers by facilitating one on one and group training sessions.Participate in the design and facilitation of large-scale talent development solutions (Summits, Conferences, Events, etc.).Organize individual training plans, team development plans and department development plans.Implement and organize the orientation and training functions for new associates in CMP.Assist the coordination with relevant functional areas to train on system changes, process changes and new technologies.
The Essentials In Your Cart - The required ingredients
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related work experience.5+years' experience training and developing others, and/or designing solutions to enable learning.Certificate in Learning & Development or Talent Development, or currently/willing to work towards with completion date within 12-18 months.Experience leading multiple, concurrent projects.Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint.Experience coaching and mentoring others to create a vision and plan to attain their goals.Experienced execution of the ADDIE process.Proven understanding of Talent Management elements: work force planning, recruiting, onboarding, performance management, education and performance support, succession planning, retention, critical skills gap analysis.Proven understanding of Supply Chain: raw materials, production, transit, shelf, consumer.Basic knowledge of Adobe Captivate or similar development platforms.Strong leadership skills, with an ability and interest in mentoring and coaching Talent Development and Learning Design Specialists, as well as associates in Supply Chain business areas.Excellent communication skills.Proficient at influencing others without authority through a solid understanding of consultative skills.Proven analytical, critical thinking and negotiation skills.
