As a member of the Training Management System Integration team at NASA’s Johnson Space Center’s Flight Operations Training Branch, the Training Management System Integrator/Scheduler is responsible for effectively leading the coordination, scheduling, and TMS software integration within their assigned Flight Operations Directorate (FOD) organization, using defined standards and processes. Detailed Description: New hires are given a peer-taught training plan and receive mentoring for the first 3-9 months, ultimately becoming a subject matter expert in NASA’s training management software (Fox). After initial training and mentoring, the Training Management System Integrator/Scheduler is required to maintain established processes and independently meet the daily requirements of the position with minimal direction or assistance. These daily requirements include but are not limited to performance of the following: 1) Accurate and timely input of training management records into Fox 2) Scheduling, coordinating, and integrating training operations for students, instructors, and resources 3) Administrative duties such as user account management and permissions permission controls within the system 4) Creation and maintenance of FOD certification records in adherence to established work instructions 5) Creation and maintenance of FOD training records 6) Data pulling, gathering, and delivery of records manually or through reporting tools 7) Communicating as the subject matter expert and liaison to their assigned organization regarding any Fox features and process improvements 8) Troubleshooting issues for Fox users and coordinating resolution with relevant stakeholders 9) Maintaining and creating work instructions for processes and procedures 10) Performing testing on new Fox software releases 11) Leading or supporting special projects per a defined project schedule to enhance the functionality, processes, or understanding of FOD’s training management system, processes, and procedures 12) Regularly communicating work status with Fox team lead and contractor management The Training Management System Integrator/Scheduler must be capable of becoming a subject matter expert on the Fox software while learning and understanding any new tool features that are introduced in periodic software release packages. They must understand the tool to a level of detail such that they can teach others to operate the tool. The Training Management System Integrator/Scheduler will have access to a “sandbox” environment to enhance their knowledge base on tool functionality. Training Management System Integrators/Schedulers are responsible for independently integrating and directly communicating with the customer, asking clarifying questions, when required, to fully understand requirements, and overcoming challenges as they occur by either implementing effective solutions or requesting assistance from management. They are also required to regularly evaluate current processes for potential improvements and coordinate these ideas with their assigned FOD organization representatives and their Training Management System Project Lead for potential implementation. They should also establish an effective working relationship with the other Training Management System Integrator/Schedulers and collaborate for potential improvements to process consistency and effectiveness. Position Requirements: Required: Experience in database and information system management, including tool troubleshooting, process, and software issue detection and resolution (Preferred) Proven experience in scheduling and coordination, with a focus on integrating scheduling software solutions seamlessly into existing systems and workflows Excellent customer service skills Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office products Ability to understand and adhere to project plans and consistently meet project deadlines Ability to utilize computer skills and quickly learn and operate new systems Excellent written, verbal, and communication skills Strong interpersonal, critical thinking, problem-solving, and multi-tasking skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team environment.
