BAE's Electronic Systems is seeking our next Training & Development Manager to lead the sector in the design, development, and delivery of our leadership development programs. This involves working with subject matter experts (SMEs) from within the business, Instructional Systems Designers (ISDs), and external vendors to create learning experiences that enhance the effectiveness and productivity of sector talent in collaboration with our corporate Talent Solutions Team in Falls, Church, VA.

Reporting to the Senior Director of Talent & DEI in the Electronic Systems (ES) sector. This position is a hybrid role based at any of our major Electronic Systems locations: Nashua, NH (and surrounding area); Huntsville, AL; Austin, TX; Manassas, VA; Greenlawn, NY; Wayne, NJ; Cedar Rapids, IA; Fort Wayne, IN; San Diego, CA.
Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.
Responsibilities
Own strategic planning, design, and delivery of ES large scale leadership development programs, including end-to-end administration and stakeholder management.Provide strategic facilitation support including, teambuilding, behavioral assessments, survey action planning and organizational change readiness.Identify leadership development priorities, evaluating third party training options, and/or coordinating with internal Subject Matter Experts (SME) to develop and execute effective development solutions.Ensure training objectives are set, the logistics of training conduct are coordinated, delivered, tracked, and evaluated for continuous improvement opportunities across Electronic Systems.Proactively research training and development options for timely and effective roll-out to appropriate levels within the organization.Extensive project management skills and interpersonal skills building effective working relationships across functions and at the corporate level including analyzing data, and interacting with Executives and senior leaders in the business. The candidate should also be proficient in benchmarking external training and development offerings for potential use in the sector.Own the delivery and participant experience for Electronic Systems sector's Horizon Program. This high potential program seeks to advance the readiness of functional talent to advance to more senior leadership roles. The incumbent partners with the Program Sponsors to plan and schedule the in-person modules, track the completion of pre-work, collaborate with external partners, and coordinates the contribution of Executives and other key stakeholders.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
10+ years with BS, 8 years with MS, or 14+ years related training/development experience.Strong project management and organizational skillsTechnical process development, implementation, and training experienceExceptional stakeholder management skills and the ability to interact effectively with Executives and senior leaders.Continuous improvement and change management skills.Excellent time management skills, with ability to manage multiple projects.Program/Project/Operations Management backgroundPeople Management/Leadership coaching experienceManufacturing/Production Operations TrainingAbility to assess and evaluate areas of critical need.
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Master's degree in training/development programs, Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Organizational Development, or equivalentExperience working with Learning Management Systems and learning portalsExperience training in the Defense/Government Contracting industry.Change Management CertificationSix sigma Certification/training
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $120560 - $204930
Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures. However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
