A local Mt. Juliet warehouse vendor is actively seeking an experienced Traffic Coordinator/Logistics Coordinator . The ideal candidate will have shipping AND receiving experience in a warehouse setting, stellar computer skills, is highly organized, detail oriented, team player, and be a self-starter. This person will work fully onsite Monday- Friday 8am-5pm with overtime possible on Saturdays.

Responsibilities
Liaison between TMS and the Operations team
Data entry — Managing electronic instructions for moving freight into web-based system (TMST)
Updating the Truck Report to maintain accurate and timely information.
Building loads in the Landstar Orbit system and sending rate confirmations to carriers.
Creating BOLs for departures and making sure they are properly distributed.
Entering accessorials for departing trucks.
Maintaining logs of carrier pickups and pre-alert dates.
Supervision of trailer loading and trailer documentation
Closely supervise loading of trailers to maximize trailer utilization.
Instructing personnel on loading procedures
Photos of the loads
Verification of piece count, pallet count, and seals
Send status emails throughout the shift to keep up with volumes.
Notifying direct supervisor of any trailer damage or repairs needed.
Scheduling pick-ups and deliveries with our carriers / dispatch to insure timely departures.
Maintain and update Trailer Inventory (YMS)
Know what trailers are coming in ensuring YMS is updated.
Ensure that we have sufficient security seals and maintain a log of how many seals are being used.
Completion of an end of shift turnover to recap daily activities and to advise of what to expect for the following shift.
Supervision of orders, documents, and delivery instructions to ensure flawless execution.
