GENERAL PURPOSEProcess incoming trademark/copyright mail for all offices that handletrademark/copyright prosecution and enter necessary dates/deadlines intothe docketing system ensuring accurate and timely entry of relevantinformation
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSMonitor Trademark/Copyright Group's centralized Docket email folder forreceipt of docketing requests and United States Patent & Trademark Office(USPTO) correspondence. Coordinate with those who send entries as needed.Review weekly Docket Reports to ensure accuracy.Generate weekly reports, including final due date reports from Pattsy Wave.Email reports to attorneys and paralegals, as appropriate.Run status check query report and update appropriate records.Update docket records in the event of attorney or staff departures.Removal of completed items verified through Trademark Status & DocumentRetrieval (TSDR) and enter missing or updated information through TSDR.Monitor client closures and perform docket system clean-up of related entriesas appropriate.Process incoming lateral attorney client files, including putting files intostandard trademark format and uploading/entering dates into our system.Work with Supervisors and Managers to troubleshoot and resolve docket concernsand issues when called upon.
REQUIRED SKILLSAt least 3 years of experience with computerized docketing systems. Ability towork efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment, with superbattention to detail. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and inwriting, with all levels of firm personnel. Familiarity with USPTO rules andthe trademark lifecycle. Familiarity with Word, Excel, and Access is aplus. Excellent time management and prioritization skills are needed for thisp
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCERequires an AA degree and 4 years of related database/docketing experienceor equivalent.Demonstrated experience in applying rules and regulations in a detail-orientedposition.Experience in a law firm is preferred.

San Francisco Bay Area compensation range: $83,610 to $124,230 annually
Colorado compensation range: $65,510to $97,330annually
Los Angeles compensation range: $76,290to $113,350annually
San Diego compensation range: $75,370 to $111,910 annually
New York compensation range: $76,010 to $112,940 annually
Washington State compensation range: $69,100 to $102,670 annually
